Fort Worth, Texas-After more than three years of cooperation with front-line team members and union representatives, today, more than 50,000 American Airlines team members launched a new uniform series made by Lands’ End.
“When we set out to create our new uniform series, the clear goal was to provide an industry-leading program with the highest level of safety, investment, and choice,” said Brady Byrnes, managing director of American Airlines Flight Service Base Operations. “Today’s release is the culmination of years of investment by team members, wear tests in operation, and the highest level of clothing certification. Without the cooperation of our union representatives, and most importantly, thousands of teams who provided opinions and feedback in the process. All of this is impossible for members’ cooperation. This is not just the uniform of our team members, it is created by them, and we are very happy to turn this page.
In order to provide this industry-leading program, representatives of the American union chose Lands’ End to provide the new series. Through cooperation with Lands’ End, American Airlines launched a new series, using new suit colors, aviation blue, and shirts and accessories unique to each work group.
Joe Ferreri, Senior Vice President of Lands’ End Business Outfitters, said: “We are proud to work with the world’s largest airline to provide an innovative and first-of-its-kind uniform series.” American Airlines team members played a key role in the creation of this series. Role, it is an exciting journey for us to come today. ”

Floors. STANDARD 100 certification is an independent testing and certification system, applicable to clothing, accessories and any products made of fabrics. All parts of the garment, including sewing threads, buttons and zippers, are tested for hazardous chemicals.
To help create a new uniform series, American Airlines established a front-line uniform consulting team, who made key decisions such as fabric color and series design. The company also recruited more than 1,000 front-line team members and conducted a six-month field test on the series before it went into production. During this process, team members were asked to vote on selected design decisions and were surveyed to provide feedback.
For the first time, American Airlines offered suit fabric options to its team members. All team members of the new Lands’ End series can choose wool blends or synthetic suiting fabrics, both of which are STANDARD 100 certified by OEKO-TEX to ensure they feel comfortable in their new uniforms.
